Money

So many people have the wrong idea about money. People often say that money is the root of all evil, believing that they are quoting the Bible. The Bible does not say that. What it does say is that the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. We need money to buy food, pay rent, clothing, and other necessities. It is only wrong or evil when we will do anything to obtain it.

So do something nice with your money. Use it to help others. There are plenty of good needs for it in the world today.

Stressed Out?

Are you stressed today? Too much packed into your schedule? In today’s society, if you do not use wisdom it can cause stress in your life.,. So here are some tips for you:


1. Stop and read a relaxing book, Be selective, all books are not all relaxing, choose soothing and calming books. Put your feet up.


2. Meditation is excellent. Take your Bible out or a good Christian piece of literature, sit back, close your eyes and tap into the Presence of God.

3. Play some soft gentle listening music. And then enjoy the rest of your day.

Power of the Tongue

Proverbs 18:21 says that death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Verse 18:3 says He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life, but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.

God says we can have what we say...but what are we saying? Are we saying good about ourselves or evil. Don't joke about getting old before you reach there. Joking about loss of memory, going broke, and dying young are not funny. Instead, talk health, wealth, good jobs, and being on top. Try it for a while. Give it a chance to work. How long have you been saying the wrong things before it showed up? Try doing it God's way.

Always remember to watch what comes out of that tongue. God Bless.

Remember - HE HAS RISEN!

Change

Change is sometimes difficult for people. We usually like to stay in our comfort zones. God's Word causes us to change. We must change in order to conform to His image.

Genesis 1:26 tells us that God made us in His image. So what makes us happy will make Him happy. We are in His likeness. So folks, let's make up our minds to be like Him; forgiving and loving. God Bless you as you seek to change.

The Power of Prayer

When we come to God we must believe that He is listening. He said we should call upon Him and He would answer us.

1) We do not come as beggars.
2) We do not come desperate.

Why? Because He has all power in His hands. He has already given us the keys to the Kingdom. We must approach Him on the bases of His Word and what He has already spoken. Come boldly to the throne of grace because we have a legal right to come and expect God to answer. He is not a man that He should lie.

Keep your faith up and not just your chin. Grace and Peace

Thoughts...

As Spring has just begun, I am posting some of my thoughts....

Today more than ever I feel people need to network together. Somebody somewhere has just the answer or information you are looking for. While it's great to get back to the basics in life, technology has its advantages. My daughter recently introduced me to the blog world and I have to say I am amazed. There are so many people out there thirsting for information as well as providing it freely and with great joy. It's through the blog community that Susan (also known as Knitters Delight) has learned to sew. In just a few months she was able to make an entire wardrobe of clothes. Her resource - the online community.

I recently had my first venture to India, after spending over 30 years going back and forth from Vermont to Africa to work on the mission field. I will soon have pictures to show of 17 orphans that I met in India. I was on a missions trip there last year and got to see first hand, the great need that surrounds the area. Despite the need, there was great love and a strong sense of community. How kids can survive a life as a sex slave as a mere child and still have love, is only by the grace of God. If you have a heart for children, here is your opportunity. Please keep them in prayer when the thought crosses your mind. I believe prayer is power and the positive thoughts that we put in our mind have a way of changing circumstance. The Bible said to guard our thoughts for a reason. Let's put this to the test in a good way.
