The Power of Prayer

When we come to God we must believe that He is listening. He said we should call upon Him and He would answer us.

1) We do not come as beggars.
2) We do not come desperate.

Why? Because He has all power in His hands. He has already given us the keys to the Kingdom. We must approach Him on the bases of His Word and what He has already spoken. Come boldly to the throne of grace because we have a legal right to come and expect God to answer. He is not a man that He should lie.

Keep your faith up and not just your chin. Grace and Peace

Thoughts...

As Spring has just begun, I am posting some of my thoughts....

Today more than ever I feel people need to network together. Somebody somewhere has just the answer or information you are looking for. While it's great to get back to the basics in life, technology has its advantages. My daughter recently introduced me to the blog world and I have to say I am amazed. There are so many people out there thirsting for information as well as providing it freely and with great joy. It's through the blog community that Susan (also known as Knitters Delight) has learned to sew. In just a few months she was able to make an entire wardrobe of clothes. Her resource - the online community.

I recently had my first venture to India, after spending over 30 years going back and forth from Vermont to Africa to work on the mission field. I will soon have pictures to show of 17 orphans that I met in India. I was on a missions trip there last year and got to see first hand, the great need that surrounds the area. Despite the need, there was great love and a strong sense of community. How kids can survive a life as a sex slave as a mere child and still have love, is only by the grace of God. If you have a heart for children, here is your opportunity. Please keep them in prayer when the thought crosses your mind. I believe prayer is power and the positive thoughts that we put in our mind have a way of changing circumstance. The Bible said to guard our thoughts for a reason. Let's put this to the test in a good way.

Daughters of Zion Ministry

Looking For Answers: I am trying to reach out to the Jewish community. I have been asked to head of a prayer group for Jewish people in Vermont. The ministry is called the Daughters of Zion. I need all the help I can get. If you are from a Jewish back ground and can guide me in the right direction I will be very blessed. What are some of the challenges Jewish people face on an ongoing bases? I want to pray effectively. I am praying for the Nation as well as daily needs. Thanks somebody out there help.

Addtional Thoughts

I have been praying about heading up prayer for Jewish people. It is already a well established ministry. I have been asked to head up the one for Vermont. I have decided to take on this new challenge. Any feed back?

Greetings in His Name

This is my first blog post. My daughter from Knitters Delight had such positive feedback about blogging, that my DH and I have decided to give it a try. We are the Pastors of Tabernacle of Worship in Burlington, Vermont. We will share our journey as well as Words of Wisdom that the Lord has inspired us to share.
